I've just wrapped up a website recently for Karen X Tulchinsly, an author/screenwrite extrordinaire who is located out West. Check out her website at karenxtulchinsky.com!
CSS and elaborate typography don't necessarily go hand-in-hand. While it's generally quite safe and easy to change around your fonts and colours, current status is that it's not always a walk in the park to do anything too exciting to your text through basic CSS. Here's a couple CSS properties that, while being very basic and easy-to-implement, don't see the light of day as often as they could.
Possible values: capitalize, uppercase, lowercase. Applications: Any place you can imagine where sentence flow won't be an issue. For example, in my opinion, headers and links are fair game for uppercase/lowercase deviancy, as long as it's still readable.
I think a bit of an introduction is due here. My name is Lydia, and this is my website. You can find out a bit more about me on my About page, but to generally summarize, I'm a young Ottawa-based graphic designer, and after years of blog-free life, I've decided to start up again.
This blog will likely be generally based on web design, including design trends, IT, software, and the likes. However, I don't doubt that it will occasionally stray from said topics.
For anyone who has visited my website before, you'll notice that I've done quite a bit of a rehaul on the design. It's still in something of a liquid state, as I've been tweaking my stylesheets all week, and I still feel that it's a work in progress.
